We hosted an enriching webinar on the theme of digital responsibility, an increasingly essential notion at a time when digital technology occupies a central place in our personal and professional lives. The aim of the event was to raise awareness of the environmental and societal impacts of digital technology, while exploring concrete solutions for adopting more sustainable practices.
The webinar began with a presentation on the challenges of digital responsibility, highlighting statistics on the carbon footprint associated with the use of electronic devices, and the energy consumption of data centers…. The speakers stressed the importance of considering these aspects right from the design stage of digital tools, in order to minimize their impact.
A number of best practices were then shared with participants: extending the life of equipment, favoring resource-efficient software, optimizing data storage and adopting effective recycling strategies.
This special moment demonstrated that it is possible to reconcile digital innovation and environmental responsibility, while highlighting the importance of collective action in the transition to a more responsible digital world. We would like to thank all participants for their commitment and interest, and look forward to meeting them again for future initiatives on this crucial topic.
